Marie Teeler

Marie Teeler, the daughter of Harvey Odous Woodard and Margaret Matilda Drouin Woodard, was born November 2, 1930 in Cisco, Texas and passed away on June 10, 2023 at the Belleville Health Care Center, Belleville, KS at the age of 92 years, 7 months and 8 days.

Marie grew up in and attended schools in Cisco, TX.    Following her schooling, she worked as a waitress at White Cafeteria in Ft. Worth, TX for several years.     She then moved to Kansas City, MO to live with her brother, Kenneth Woodard and later moved to Belleville, KS to be near her sister, Mary Long.

Marie was married to Jimmy Ray Teeler and he is deceased.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, and special friend, Ernest Herzfeld, Sr.

Marie is survived by nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS with Pastor Kathy Aeillo, officiating.

Interment will follow later at the Ida Cemetery, rural Munden, KS.

Friends may call from 1 PM until 6 PM on Wednesday and from 9 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Marie Teeler Memorial Fund.
