Monica Grant, (69), of Concordia, Kansas, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on October 17, 1953 to Everett ”Wimp” and Marjorie (Burnett) Moore.

Monica was a Concordia High School graduate in the Class of 1971.

She married Terry Grant on August 4th, 1973 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kansas.  To this union five children were born, Christy, John, Darren, Justin, and Daniel.

Monica was a stay at home mom and also worked as a cook at the Mount Joseph Senior Village in Concordia.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Monica truly enjoyed her grandchildren, playing games with family and friends, NCAA Basketball, reading, cross Stitching, Gardening, watching birds especially hummingbirds.

Monica is survived by her husband Terry Grant, Concordia, KS; a daughter, Christy Leiszler (Rod), Concordia, KS; Four Sons, John Grant (Natalie), Olathe, KS; Darren Grant(Brandi), Wamego, KS; Justin Grant (Aubrey), Concordia, KS; Daniel Grant (Jennifer Knoll), Concordia, KS; Fourteen grandchildren, Tristen Stuart-Grant, Blake Leiszler, Kassidy Leiszler, Logan Leiszler, Jovie Grant, Bree Grant, Raef Grant, Kyra Grant, Cohen Grant, Aria Grant, Haidyn Grant, Ezra Grant, Isabella Waechter,  and Catalina Waechter; a brother Gary Moore (Aggie), three sisters, Marsha Bombardier(Tim), Martha Bombardier (Tom), Margaret Walker (Don) and Mother-in-law, Della Hefner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, John Moore.

Monica’s wishes were to be cremated and a Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 14, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating.  Inurnment will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery.   A luncheon will be served in the fellowship hall for family and friends following the graveside service.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 1-8 PM at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas, with family receiving friends from 6-7 PM.
