Vicki L. Simpson, age 75, a Concordia resident, left this earthly life on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at her residence in Concordia.  She was born on April 24, 1948 in Concordia, KS to Parmer and Joan (Earley) Heller, Jr.

She attended Concordia High School.

Vicki married Ricky Simpson April 24th 1999.

Vicki worked as cook at Mount Joseph Senior Village and the Senior Citizens Center, and at the American Legion all located in Concordia, Kansas.

Vicki was a charter member of the American Legion Riders and was instrumental in beginning the 9-11 Heroes Tribute Weekend in Concordia.  She was a member of Cloud County Ducks Unlimited, American Legion Auxiliary, and donated many years and time to putting on events through the legion and one that she enjoyed the most was the Toy run.

She enjoyed painting, gambling, spending time with family, cracking jokes, taking care of others and of course had an infinite amount of love for Elvis Presley. Vicki was known for her ability to make anyone laugh and to dance anytime music came on. Vicki would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need and had a heart of gold. Her family is comforted in knowing that she is in Heaven holding her little boy Pewee and catching up with all her loved ones that were taken too soon.
