Cloud County's Abdoulaye Fall Finished with 14 Points while Playing a Team-High 38 Minutes on Saturday, December 2nd at Dodge City

In a game that saw neither team lead by more than seven and a total of 72 free throw attempts, the number-25 ranked Cloud County Community College men's basketball team would see host Dodge City Community College hit a game-tying three with 3.4 seconds left in regulation to force overtime before falling by a final score of 89-87 inside the Student Activities Center in Dodge City, Kansas on Saturday, December 2nd.

The loss is Cloud County's second loss in the past three games after starting the year 7-0 to fall to 8-2 overall and 3-2 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Dodge City bounces back from a 12-point road loss earlier this week at Pratt to improve to 5-6 overall and 3-2 in the KJCCC with the win.

A game that saw both teams shoot over 45 percent from the field would finish at a pace that would be much more to the style of a Dodge City team that entered the day averaging nearly 76 points per game while Cloud County allowed 28 more points than the previous high total by an opponent set back on November 3rd (61 by Neosho). For the game, CCCC would shoot 46.4 percent (26-of-56) from the field while seeing Dodge City go 28-of-59 (47.5 percent) from the floor with the Conquistadors hitting on 14-of-25 (40.0 percent) of their attempts from beyond the arc. CCCC would shoot 44.0 percent (11-of-25) from three as the two teams were nearly identical from the charity stripe with Cloud County going 24-of-36 (66.7 percent) compared to a 23-of-36 (63.9 percent) effort from Dodge City.

Scoring a team-high 25 points including a seven-of-nine effort from three would be freshman Isaiah Sy to set a new career-high as the Marseilles, France native would play 29 minutes and grab eight rebounds. Ja'ron Briggs Jr. would have a 21-point, 11-rebound double-double along with four assists despite fouling out late in the second half while Abdoulaye Fall would add 14 points for the T-Birds.  Dodge City would get a game-high 27 points from Chevalier Emery who went 12-of-13 from the free-throw line and had three assists while playing a game-high 39 minutes.
