With three weeks of the 2023 NJCAA cross country season in the books, the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association has revealed their NJCAA Division I Cross Country Week One polls with the Cloud County Community College women's and men's teams both making appearances in their respective polls.

In the women's top-25 poll, the T-Birds would garner a total of 83 points to come in with the number 10 ranking while serving as one of five Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools ranked in the top-10. Just ahead of CCCC is Central Arizona College who earned a total of 90 points while making a six-spot jump from 15th in the preseason poll while Trinidad State would come in just behind Cloud County with 71 points to be ranked 11th.

The men's top-25 poll would see Cloud County come in with the number 15 ranking after tallying 45 points to make a two-spot jump from their preseason ranking of 17th while sitting just three points back of 14th-ranked El Paso Community College. CCCC holds a 10-point advantage in the rankings over 16th-ranked Crowder College while seeing five other KJCCC schools also join the T-Birds in the week one rankings.

Cloud County is off this weekend but will be back in action on Friday, September 29th when CCCC takes part in the University of Missouri Gans Creek Classic. The meet will begin at 10:30 AM with the men's 8,000 meter race and be followed by the women's 6,000 meter race which is set to begin at 11:15 AM.
