Cloud County Volleyball Team Ends 2023 Season with Road Loss to Colby

Looking to advance to the NJCAA Region VI Tournament semifinals for the first time since 2015, the Cloud County Community College volleyball team would be unable to upset third-seeded Colby Community College in a 13-25, 17-25, 21-25 defeat inside the Colby Events Center in Colby, Kansas on Wednesday, November 1st.

The loss officially ends the T-Bird season at 22-13 under first-year head coach Hilta Ramos while Colby improves to 20-9 overall and advances to Saturday's NJCAA Region VI Tournament quarterfinal where they will take on seventh-seeded Dodge City after the Conquistadors pulled off a five-set road upset of Hutchinson on Wednesday evening.

Statistics from the match were not available at the time of this writing as CCCC will bid farewell to six sophomores who played in their final match of their T-Bird careers (Madelynn WellsDoga EskiMadison RonnebaumKatelynn BroganBrette Doile, and Jacey Schurle). The six would help the T-Birds to 34 wins over the past two seasons which included 13 wins in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference and also led CCCC to their first season sweep over Seward County Community College since at least 2001.
