Setting a school record and the time to beat in the NJCAA this season, the Cloud County Community College women's 4x800 meter relay team (Nontokozo Ncube, Mercy Angaamchaab, N Vanee Anchike, and Jaelyn Rumback) have earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors.

The quartet ran a time of 9:10.55 to place second this past weekend at the Friends University Spring Invitational while smashing the previous school record of 9:22.08 set in the 2022 season. The time is currently 10 seconds faster than the next-best time ran in the NJCAA this season by New Mexico Junior College (9:21.01) and is only one of four times under 10 minutes in the event.

This is the third time that a Cloud County Community College women's track and field athlete has earned KJCCC Women's Athlete of the Week honors during the four weeks of competition during the 2024 outdoor season.
