Cloud County's Leroy Kamau Named KJCCC Men's Track Athlete of the Week

After winning both the 100 meters and 200 meters at the Cowley College Mark A. Phillips Tiger Invitational this past weekend, Cloud County Community College men's track and field freshman Leroy Kamau has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week. 

Kamau won the 100 meters with a time of 10.52 seconds before going on to win the 200 meters with a time of 20.99 seconds with his 200-meter time currently ranking third in the NJCAA Division I outdoor performance list. Kamau would also run the second leg on the winning 4x100 meter relay team which finished with a time of 40.74 seconds. All three times are NJCAA qualifying performances for the 2023 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track Championships in May.
