For the second time this season, Cloud County Community College women's basketball player Maimouna Sissoko has been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Averaging 23 points and 18.5 rebounds per contest last week, Sissoko helped lead the T-Birds to a pair of KJCCC wins to open up 2024 as CCCC earned a 20-point home victory over Independence before defeating Pratt on the road with a 72-64 win. Starting her week with an 18-point, 15-rebound double-double against the Pirates, Sissoko had an even bigger game on Saturday in Pratt by scoring a career-high 28 points and tying a single-game rebounding record for Cloud County by hauling in 22 rebounds. Of the 22 rebounds, 16 would be on the defensive end to also tie a single-game program record for CCCC as the Bamako, Mali native recorded her eighth and ninth double-doubles of the year through 14 games. For the season, Sissoko is averaging 16.1 points per game to rank ninth in the KJCCC while leading the league with 13.0 rebounds per contest with the rebounding average ranking fifth among NJCAA Division I players.
