Cloud County's N Vanee Anchike Earns Second KJCCC Women's Cross Country Athlete Of the Week Award

For the second time in the past three weeks, Cloud County Community College women's cross country freshman N Vanee Anchike has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference women's cross country Athlete of the Week. 

Anchike brings home the award after running a 5,000 meter time of 18:08.30 at the 2023 Greeno/Dirksen Invitational this past Saturday which was co-hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan University and the University of Nebraska at Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln, NE. The time was good enough for a 29th place overall finish among a 297-runner field and 11th-place finish in the gold division race. Anchike would best all other two-year college runners by nearly 23 seconds while posting the second-fastest 5,000 meter time by a Cloud County Community College women's cross country runner on record within the program.
