Throwing six innings and allowing just one hit while striking out nine to pick up his fourth victory of the year, Cloud County Community College baseball player Phil Brennaman has been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week.

Getting the start in game two against Garden City, Brennaman would allow just one run on one hit coming in the top of the first inning against the Broncbusters before settling in to retire the final 17 batters he faced on the afternoon. Totaling just 86 pitches in the six-inning outing, Brennaman struck out seven of the nine batters he faced to tally his career-high nine strikeouts on the afternoon while seeing just three balls leave the infield as part of the stretch of retiring 17 consecutive batters.

Brennaman is the third T-Bird baseball player to earn KJCCC weekly honors, joining KJCCC West Players of the Week Danny Infante (February 21st, 2023) and Kolden Howerton (March 14th, 2023).
