Cloud County's Stocton Timbrook Named KJCCC West Division Pitcher of the Week
Cloud County Community College sophomore Stocton Timbrook has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) West Division Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday, March 3.
Timbrook, a native of Abilene, Kansas, moved to 2-0 on the season after leading the T-Birds to a 12-0 shutout victory in five innings over Marshalltown Community College on February 27. Timbrook pitched the complete game shutout, limiting the Tigers to no runs on one hit while striking out six. For the season, Timbrook has 16 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched with a 3.46 ERA.
Timbrook is the second T-Bird baseball player honored with a weekly conference award this season. Redshirt freshman Simon Baker was named the KJCCC West Division Player of the Week on February 24.
Cloud County (14-1) is ranked No. 5 in the latest NJCAA Division I Baseball Rankings Presented by Netting Professionals. Next, the T-Birds open KJCCC play on Thursday, March 5, at 12:30 pm against Pratt Community College at Lee Doyen Field in Concordia. Following a doubleheader on Thursday, the series will shift to Pratt for a doubleheader on Saturday, March 7, beginning at 12:30 pm.
