Concordia Baseball Team Draws No. 4 Seed, Meets Rossville in 2023 KSHSAA Class 3A Regional Tournament

The Kansas State High School Activities Association has announced regional tournament matchups for next week.

The Concordia High School Baseball team (12-8) has earned the No. 4 seed in the Nemaha Central Class 3A - Regional Baseball Bracket and will open tournament play against No. 5 seed Rossville (8-10) on Monday, May 15th.  First pitch is scheduled for 3 pm in Sabetha.

The Panthers concluded the regular season winning eight of their final twelve games, but were swept by the Clay Center Tigers, this year's North Central Kansas League champions, in their final doubleheader on May 9th.

The Rossville Bulldogs have lost six of their last seven, including dropping recent doubleheaders to Wamego and Sabetha.

The Sabetha Bluejays (16-4) have nabbed the No. 1 seed and will face No. 8 seed Riley County (1-19) 25-minutes after the conclusion of the first round match-up between Concordia and Rossville.

In the bottom side of the bracket, Nemaha Central (12-4) is the No. 2 seed and will face No. 7 seed Minneapolis (2-18) at 3 pm in Seneca.  Silver Lake (13-5) is the No. 3 seed and will open tournament play against No. 6 seed Marysville (6-12) 25-minutes following the conclusion of the first round contest between Nemaha Central and Minneapolis.

The two semifinal contests and championship game will be played Wednesday, May 17th in Seneca.
