Concordia Baseball Team Splits Road Matchup with Beloit

The Concordia High School Baseball team split a road non-league doubleheader with the Beloit Trojans on Friday, April 12th.

The two teams were originally scheduled to play on March 25th, but the games were postponed due to weather.

Concordia won the first game by a final score of 4-1.  Maddox Frey earned the win.  Frey pitched six innings, allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out four batters.  Braeden Primeaux went 2-for-3 at the plate with 1 RBI, while Frey, Payton Breese, Joey Henderson and Boone Richard each scored a run.

In game two, Beloit jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on their way to a 4-2 victory.  Breese suffered the loss, throwing five innings and allowing three earned runs on five hits while striking out three.  Breese and Frey each scored a run.

The split leaves the Panthers at 3-7 on the season.  Concordia will return to action on Tuesday, April 16th when they travel to Chapman for a pair of North Central Kansas League contests with the Chapman Irish.  The first game of the doubleheader is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
