To celebrate the 2023-2024 season, the Concordia High School Boys Basketball team held its annual team banquet on Friday, March 22nd.

Concordia ended the year at 13-9 overall and 7-3 in the North Central Kansas League, finishing second in the league standings.

Senior Guard Payton Breese and Joey Henderson were honored as the Co-Outstanding Senior Award recipients.

Henderson led the team in scoring at 14.2 points per game on 40.8 percent shooting from the field.  Henderson, who also shot 86-of-119 (72.3 percent) from the foul line, also finished his senior season with 3.6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.2 steals per game.  Henderson also received the Garrett Farha Assist Award.

Breese, the best outside shooter on the team, knocked down 44 three-pointers and shot 40.7 percent from behind the arc on his way to averaging 9.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Junior Guard Peyton Retter was named the recipient of the Ed Walters Free-Throw Award.  Retter made 41 three-pointers on the year and finished as the top free-throw shooter on the club at 82.5 percent.  Retter averaged 10.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

This year, Breese and Henderson both earned a spot on the All-NCKL First Team, while Retter and Sophomore Forward Chane Parker received honorable mention All-League recognition.

Parker, who played in 19 of the team's 22 games this season, averaged 7.9 points per game on 58.4 percent shooting from the floor while pulling down a team-best 133 rebounds, an average of 7 rebounds per game.
