The Concordia High School Varsity Boys Golf team earned a 3rd place finish at the Chapman Invitational on Tuesday, April 11th.

The Panthers finished with a team score of 371.

"The guys struggled a little on the front nine but were able to come back around with mostly better scores," CHS Boys Golf Coach Gene Rundus said.

Sophomore Luke Donovan led the way with a 10th place finish with a score of 88.  Donovan shot rounds of 49 and 39.

"Luke really put a nice string of pars together on his second nine and that was the difference between medaling 10th or not.  We need some more work out of bunkers and putting, but I thought this was a good effort after a shaky start," Rundus said.

Following Donovan was Junior Lewis VanMeter with a 94, Senior Keegan Hamel with a 95, Senior Aden Plymesser with a 95, Sophomore Lennon Ninemire with a 95, and Sophomore Karson Lister with a 109.

Concordia will compete in the Abilene Invitational at Stagg Hill in Manhattan on Monday, April 15th.
