Concordia Boys Track Team 5th, Concordia Girls 6th at 2023 NCKL Meet

The Concordia High School Boys and Girls Track and Field teams competed in the 2023 North Central Kansas League Meet in Concordia on Friday, May 12th.

The Concordia Boys finished fifth with 46 points.  The Concordia Girls finished sixth with 54 points.

On the boys side, Senior Cole Hobrock won the Boys Pole Vault with a vault of 12'0".  Senior Bergun Kindel finished 2nd in the Boys Pole Vault with a vault of 11'6".

Senior Torxsten Kindel captured a 3rd place finish in the Boys 110M Hurdles in a time of 16.71.

Torxsten Kindel also placed 4th in the Boys Long Jump with a leap of 20'1.75".

The Concordia Boys 4x100M Relay team turned in a 4th place finish in a time of 44.99.

The Concordia Boys 4x400M Relay team also placed 4th overall in a time of 3:36.55.

Junior Cody Trost posted a 4th place finish in the Boys Triple Jump with a jump of 40'1.25".  Senior Aceyn Cash was 6th overall in the Boys Triple Jump with a leap of 38'2.5".

Senior Chayton Alquist Pennell notched a 5th place finish in the Boys 100M Dash in a time of 11.37.

Alquist-Pennell also captured a 5th place finish in the Boys 200M Dash in a time of 23.85.

Senior Alan Garcia placed 6th overall in the Boys 800M Run in a time of 2:04.30.

Cash posted a 6th place finish in the Boys High Jump with a jump of 5'10".

On the girls side, Freshman Charlize Cash claimed 1st place finishes in both the Girls 100M Hurdles and the Girls 300M Hurdles events.

Cash placed 1st overall in the Girls 100M Hurdles in a time of 16.17.

Cash also claimed a 1st place finish in the Girls 300M Hurdles in a time of 48.24.

The Concordia Girls 4x100M Relay team recorded a 2nd place finish in a time of 51.23.

Freshman Kynlee Hamel posted a 3rd place finish in the Girls 100M Dash in a time of 12.92.  Senior Jaida Koester was 5th overall in the Girls 100M Dash in a time of 13.42.

Koester picked up a 3rd place finish in the Girls Long Jump with a leap of 16'7".

Hamel notched a 3rd place finish in the Girls High Jump with a jump of 4'10".

Sophomore Keely Kindel placed 4th overall in the Girls Pole Vault with a vault of 8'0".

Hamel ended up in 5th place in the Girls 200M Dash in a time of 27.20.

Koester posted a 6th place finish in the Girls Triple Jump with a jump of 32'7".

Up next for the Panthers is their 2023 Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 3A Regional Track and Field Meet in Nickerson on Friday, May 19th.  Other participating schools are Nickerson, Beloit, Cheney, Council Grove, Douglass, Eureka, Halstead, Haven, Hesston, Minneapolis, Riley County, Smoky Valley, Southeast of Saline, Wichita Collegiate and Wichita-Trinity Academy.  Field events begin at 3 pm.
