Concordia Cross Country Program Celebrates 2023 Season at End of Year Banquet

The Concordia Junior/Senior High School Cross Country team held their team award banquet on Tuesday, November 14th.

Freshman Hannah Bridwell received the Number One Runner Award for the girls team.  This year, Bridwell medaled in 16th place in a time of 20:27.1 in the 2023 Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 4A State Cross Country Championship in Wamego on October 28th.  Bridwell was the only Concordia runner to compete in the state meet.

Senior Qwinter Thrash received the Number One Runner for the boys team.

Senior Megan Barr received the “Brent Newton Award.”  The Brent Newton Award is given to the runner that inspires hard work, desire, spirit, and heart in their teammates by working hard in every meet and practice and has a true love and dedication to the sport of cross country.

Major letterwinners on this year’s cross-country team were Megan Barr, Qwinter Thrash, Aubrey Stahlman, Draven Luecke and Hannah Bridwell

A provisional letter was awarded to Skye Johnson

Participation awards were presented to Gunner Barnes, Quinn Kymer, and Brody Marsh.

Sixth grade runners that received participation awards were Liv Kindel, Kiersyn Koch, Addyson Stensaas, Tyler Applebee, Cale Bridwell and Baron Farha.  7th grader Tucker Davis also received a participation award, while 8th grade runners that received participation awards were Bailey Conner, Ashlynn James, Addison Schreiber and Daniel Reedy.
