Concordia Girls Golf Concludes Regular Season at Tournament in Hays

The Concordia High School Varsity Girls Golf team closed out its regular season on Monday, October 3rd at the Smoky Hill Country Club in Hays, hosted by Thomas More Prep-Marian.

Senior Georgia Trost shot a 127 to tie for 26th place, the top finish of any Concordia golfer.

Senior Peyton Johnson followed with a 134. 

"We struggled with the rough and the trees today, but Georgia and Peyton were able to have a couple of PRs," CHS Head Girls Golf Coach Gene Rundus told KNCK Sports.

Junior Brecklynn Bonner finished with a 141, while Senior Cianna DeLeon shot a 142.

The Panthers will begin postseason play in the Topeka-Hayden Class 4A Regional on Monday, October 10th.  Joining the Panthers at the regional will be Topeka-Hayden, Bishop-Miege, Clay Center, Eudora, Holton, Ottawa, Santa Fe Trail, Tonganoxie and Wamego.

Tee-time is scheduled for 8:30 am from the Shawnee Country Club.

"We will need to keep working as we head to Shawnee Country Club for a practice round on Sunday and Regionals on Monday," Coach Rundus said.
