Concordia Girls Track Team Finishes 4th, Panthers Boys Take 7th at Smoky Valley Invite

The Concordia High School Boys and Girls Track and Field teams traveled to Lindsborg, Kansas to compete in the Smoky Valley Invitational at Bethany College on Friday, April 12th.  The Panthers Girls posted a 4th place team finish with 61 points, while the Concordia Boys were 7th overall with 29 points.

Concordia Junior Kaide Gropp scored a 1st place finish in the Boys 200M Run in a time of 23.71.

Gropp joined Sophomore Grayson Stephens, Senior Cody Trost and Junior Jagger Johnson on the Boys 4x100M Relay team that finished 5th overall in a time of 46.49.

Gropp, Stephens and Trost, along with Freshman Ryker Wildeman, were part of the Boys 4x400M Relay team that finished 6th overall in a time of 3:45.67.

In the Boys 4x100M Rumble Relay, Concordia Junior Dane Cleveland, Freshman Burklee Jackson, Junior JJ Riley and Junior Carter Eakins earned a 2nd place finish in a time of 52.41.

Riley notched a 2nd place finish in the Boys Discus with a toss of 126' 4.5".

On the girls side, Freshman Hannah Bridwell won the Girls 800M Run in a time of 2:30.62.

Bridwell also captured a 3rd place finish in the Girls 3,200M Run in a time of 12:35.45.

Bridwell joined Sophomore Rylie Jessup, Junior Aubrey Stahlman and Freshman Skye Johnson on the Girls 4x800M Relay that finished in 6th place in a time of 10:59.16.

The Concordia Girls 4x400M Relay team of Freshman Brexlynn Koch, Freshman Gabi Lange, Freshman Lillian Nuss and Sophomore Charlize Cash posted a 3rd place finish in a time of 4:22.95.

Nuss joined Freshman Madalyn Bowers, Senior Carlie Carlgren and Sophomore Kynlee Hamel on the Girls 4x100M Relay team that ended up 3rd overall in a time of 51.54.

Carlgren landed a 2nd place finish in the Girls Javelin with a throw of 106' 3".  Jessup was 3rd overall in the Girls Javelin with a throw of 103' 3".

Carlgren scored a 6th place finish in the Girls 100M Hurdles in a time of 17.46.

Cash posted a 4th place finish in the Girls 300M Hurdles in a time of 50.10.  Carlgren was right behind her in 5th place in a time of 50.58.

In the Girls 200M Run, Hamel captured a 4th place finish in a time of 28.39.  Nuss was 6th in the Girls 200M Run in a time of 28.52.

Hamel finished 4th overall in the Girls High Jump with a jump of 5' 0".  Lange notched a 6th place finish in the Girls High Jump with a leap of 4' 8".

Lange picked up a 6th place finish in the Girls Pole Vault with a vault of 8' 6."

Next up, the Concordia High School Boys and Girls Track and Field teams will head to Belleville, Kansas for a meet hosted by Republic County High School on Tuesday, April 16th.  Action gets underway at 10 am.
