The Concordia High School Girls Golf team shot a 246 and finished fifth at the Marysville Invitational on Thursday, September 21st.

Play was cancelled due to lightning activity, so only front-nine scores counted as the girls had played from a shotgun start.

"We were disappointed that we couldn’t finish because the girls really picked it up on the back nine.  The rough start really hurt when it came to the weather-shortened format," Coach Gene Rundus told KNCK Sports.

Panthers Senior Brecklynn Bonner shot a 54 to medal fifth individually.

Freshman Mya Niehues shot a 58 to place 13th.  Sophomore Anna Widen shot a 63, Freshman Maddie Bowers had a 71, Senior Kaitlyn Nelson also carded a 71, and Sophomore Elora Henderson finished with an 80.

Concordia plays next at the Buhler Invitational on Friday, September 22nd.
