Concordia High School Track and Field Teams Host CHS Invite

The Concordia High School Boys and Girls Track and Field teams were at home for the Concordia Invitational on Thursday, April 4th.  The Panthers girls finished in 5th place as a team with 51 points, while the Concordia Boys were 6th overall with 34 points.

Concordia High School Senior Carlie Carlgren captured a 1st place finish in the Girls 100M Hurdles in a time of 16.52.  Sophomore Charlize Cash was 6th in the Girls 100M Hurdles in a time of 17.69.

Cash notched a 4th place finish in the Girls 300M Hurdles in a time of 51.08.  Carlgren was 6th individually in the Girls 300M Hurdles in a time of 55.84.

Carlgren joined teammates Madalyn Bowers, Lillian Nuss and Kynlee Hamel on the Girls 4x100M Relay team that finished 2nd in a time of 51.87.

Nuss, Cash, and Freshmen Gabi Lange and Brexlynn Koch were on the Girls 4x400M Relay team that finished in 4th place in a time of 4:23.93.

The Girls 4x800M Relay team of Skye Johnson, Aubrey Stahlman, Rylie Jessup and Hannah Bridwell ended up in 4th place overall in a time of 10:57.69.

Nuss placed 4th overall in the Girls 200M Run in a time of 27.88.

Hamel, a sophomore, posted a 4th place finish in the Girls 100M Run in a time of 13.35.  Nuss was 6th overall in the Girls 100M Run in a time of 13.42.

Hamel scored a 5th place finish in the Girls High Jump with a jump of 5' 0.

Bridwell, a freshman, earned a 4th place finish in the Girls 3200M Run in a time of 13:11.56.

Bridwell also picked up a 6th place finish in the Girls 1600M Run in a time of 5:59.25.

Lange turned in a 5th place finish in the Girls Pole Vault with a vault of 9' 0.

Koch posted a 6th place finish in the Girls 400M Run in a time of 1:07.24.

On the boys side, Junior Kaide Gropp placed in four events.

Gropp scored a 2nd place finish in the Boys 200M Run in a time of 23.54.

Gropp landed a 3rd place finish in the Boys 100M Run in a time of 11.55.

Gropp joined teammates Grayson Stephens, Cody Trost and Isaias Irigoyen on the Boys 4x100M Relay team that finished 3rd overall in a time of 46.31.

Gropp also teamed with Stephens, Trost and Freshman Ryker Wildeman on the Boys 4x400M Relay that finished in 6th place in a time of 3:45.16.

Trost was 4th overall in the Boys Triple Jump with a leap of 38' 9.5.

Stephens finished 6th overall in the Boys 400M Run in a time of 55.52.

Irigoyen notched a 6th place finish in the Boys High Jump with a jump of 5' 6.

Junior Dane Cleveland posted a 4th place finish in the Boys Discus with a toss of 118' 5.

Freshman Burke Kindel captured a 5th place finish in the Boys Long Jump with a leap of 18' 2.5.

Kindel also posted a 6th place finish in the Boys Pole Vault with a vault of 11' 6.

The Concordia High School Boys and Girls Track and Field teams will head to Lindsborg, Kansas on Friday, April 12th to compete in the Smoky Valley Invitational at Bethany College.  Events begin at 4 pm.
