Concordia High School Softball player Hanna Acree signed a letter of intent to play for Kansas City Kansas Community College on Friday, December 16th.

Acree, a starting pitcher, will play for the Lady Panthers this spring before graduating as part of the class of 2023.

A dedicated three-sport athlete at Concordia High School, Hanna grew up around the game of softball.  For nearly two decades, her father Aaron served as the Head Softball Coach at Cloud County Community College.

Acree joins a Kansas City Kansas Blue Devil team coming off a seventh-place finish at the 2022 NJCAA DII National Championship, following the team's first District B title since 2004.

While at KCK, Hanna also plans to complete the physical therapy assistant program.

Last year, Acree was named First Team All-North Central Kansas League after guiding Concordia to an 11-8 overall record.  Acree registered a team-best 1.92 ERA in finishing 7-5 on the mound.  Acree threw 84 innings, recording 93 strikeouts while only walking eight batters and allowing just 23 earned runs.

At the plate, Acree also led Concordia with a .367 batting average, contributing 22 hits including six doubles and one triple.

Acree is hoping to help lead the Panthers to more success in the spring.
