Concordia Softball Team Shut Out in North Central Kansas League Openers Against Wamego

The visiting Wamego Red Raiders shut out Concordia twice in a North Central Kansas League doubleheader Tuesday, April 11th at the Concordia Sports Complex.  The Panthers have been held scoreless in three out of their last six games.

Wamego, 8-0 overall and 4-0 in NCKL play, won the first game 8-0.  Sophomore Pitcher Peyton Hardenburger, a returning All-State Class 4A First-Team Pitcher, fanned 19 batters to pick up her fourth win of the season.

The Red Raiders also received a dominant performance out of Senior Maya Gallagher in game two.  The pitcher, who has committed to play softball at Holy Cross, grabbed her fourth win of the year by leading the Red Raiders to an 11-0 victory.

The losses drop the Panthers to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in NCKL action.

The Panthers return to action Thursday, April 13th for a road doubleheader with the Republic County Buffaloes.  First pitch is set for 4 pm.
