Freshman Kynlee Hamel Wins Gold in Girls 200M, Boys Track and Field Team Places 2nd at Belleville Lions Club Meet

The Concordia High School Boys Track and Field team finished second overall at the 2023 Belleville Lions Club Track Meet hosted by Republic County High School on Tuesday, April 18th.

Senior Michael Ashland placed 2nd overall in the Boys Javelin with a toss of 131'1".  Sophomore Jadrian Riley was 6th in the Boys Javelin with a throw of 121'1".

Senior Chayton Alquist-Pennell finished in 2nd place in the Boys 100M Dash in a time of 12.43.

Senior Torxsten Kindel posted a 2nd place finish in the Boys 110M Hurdles in a time of 17.79.  Senior Cole Hobrock placed 3rd in the 110M Hurdles in a time of 18.2.

Senior Alan Garcia notched a 2nd place finish in the Boys 800M Run in a time of 2:10.51.

Senior Aceyn Cash landed a 2nd place finish in the Boys High Jump with a leap of 5'8".  Garcia placed 4th overall in the Boys High Jump with a leap of 5'6".

The Concordia Boys 4x100M Relay team also finished in 2nd place in a time of 46.60.

The Panthers Boys 4x400M Relay team picked up a 3rd place finish in a time of 3:41.97.

Senior Alec Francis captured a 3rd place finish in the Boys Long Jump with a jump of 18'2.25".  Torxsten Kindel was 4th overall in the Boys Long Jump with a leap of 18'1.50".

Junior Cody Trost nabbed a 4th place finish in the Boys Triple Jump with a jump of 37'2.50".  Cash picked up a 5th place finish in the Boys Triple Jump with a leap of 36'8.25".

Cash posted a 4th place finish in the Boys 400M Run in a time of 56.46.  Senior Alec Wildeman was 6th in the Boys 400M Run in a time of 58.20.

Hobrock scored a 4th place finish in the Boys 300M Hurdles in a time of 46.84.

Hobrock also placed 4th overall in the Boys Pole Vault with a vault of 11'0".  Senior Bergun Kindel placed 5th in the Boys Pole Vault with a vault of 10'6".

Freshman Kynlee Hamel earned a gold medal in the Girls 200M to lead the Concordia High School Girls Track and Field team to a 6th place finish at the meet.

Hamel earned a 1st place finish in the Girls 200M Run in a time of 28.31.

Hamel placed 2nd overall in the Girls 100M Dash in a time of 14.15.

Hamel also landed a 6th place finish in the Girls High Jump with a leap of 4'8".

Freshman Charlize Cash recorded 2nd place finishes in both the Girls 300M Hurdles and the Girls Triple Jump.

Cash placed 2nd in the 300M Hurdles in a time of 50.03.

Cash then placed 2nd overall in the Girls Triple Jump with a leap of 32'8.75".

The Concordia Girls 4x100M Relay team placed 2nd overall in a time 52.75.

Sophomore Keely Kindel posted a 4th place finish in the Girls Pole Vault with a vault of 7'6".

The teams return to action Friday, April 21st at a meet in Halstead, Kansas.  Events begin at 2:30 pm.
