Three Concordia High School Wrestlers Earn Preseason State Rankings

The Concordia High School Wrestling team has three wrestlers ranked in the first Class 4A rankings for the 2022-2023 season released by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association.

Senior Daniel Vines and Juniors Christian Belden and Ashton Dooley are the three receiving preseason recognition.  All three were state qualifiers a year ago.

Vines, ranked first at 132 lbs., reached the state title match at 126 lbs. in his first career appearance at the Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 4A State Wrestling Tournament last winter.  Vines recorded a 2nd place finish at the state meet and finished the season at 38-2 overall.

Belden, ranked fourth at 106 lbs., posted a 33-7 record last season and was named to the All-North Central Kansas League.

Dooley is ranked sixth at 113 lbs.  Dooley put together an 18-18 overall record last season, qualifying for his first career state tournament.

The Concordia High School wrestling team will hit the mats and begin their 2022-2023 campaign with a trip away from home starting in Wamego for the Wamego Invitational on Saturday, December 3rd.  The Panthers will then travel to Louisburg, Kansas for the Louisburg High School Invitational on Friday, December 9th, before hosting their first North Central Kansas League dual on Thursday, December 15th against Marysville.
