Three Concordia Wrestlers Ranked in Latest KWCA 4A Rankings

The Concordia High School Wrestling team has three wrestlers ranked in the latest Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association Class 4A Boys Rankings released this week.

Concordia Senior Christian Belden is ranked second overall at 106 lbs.  At 175 lbs., Senior Caleb Hanson is ranked sixth and Junior Tracer Murdock is ranked at No. 6 at 190 lbs.

Belden, a two-time state qualifier, is 9-1 on the season and is coming off a first place finish at the Jeff Giles Memorial Tournament in Minneapolis on December 9th.

Hanson, a returning state qualifier, is 5-3 overall, suffering a loss last weekend to Brayden Suchy of Russell in the first place match at the Jeff Giles Tournament.

Murdock, another returning state qualifier, is 8-1 overall.  He captured a first place finish at the Jeff Giles Tournament last weekend.

Beginning dual action in the 2023-2024 season, the Concordia Panthers will open its North Central Kansas League slate at Marysville on Thursday, December 14th.  A year ago, Concordia defeated Marysville 42-28 at home in its first league dual of last season.

Coach Josh Brown expects his Panthers to face a tough matchup in this year's league opener.
